Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Techneighbors LLC processes information when you use the BathroomBuddy mobile application, website, and related services.
Use without an account
You can search for bathrooms, view public bathroom details, amenities, accessibility information, aggregate ratings, approved reviews, and open directions without creating an account or providing an email address.
To protect the public API, BathroomBuddy issues a short-lived, read-only guest security session. This session is not a user account and does not create a guest profile.
Guest integrity and fraud-prevention data
For guest access, we may process a pseudonymous installation-key hash, guest session identifier, app identifier and version, platform, integrity result, request timing, IP address or network range, rate-limit counters, and risk signals. On supported Apple devices, App Attest validates that requests come from a legitimate BathroomBuddy installation, and DeviceCheck may be used as one additional fraud-risk signal.
We use this data only to authenticate read-only traffic, limit automated collection and unusual request volume, manage map-provider cost, investigate misuse, and secure BathroomBuddy. We do not attach a guest name, email address, saved preferences, or profile to these records.
Location and search data
Location permission is optional. If you choose to share current location, BathroomBuddy uses it while you are using the app to find nearby bathrooms. We do not request background location. If you deny permission, you can search by city, ZIP code, address, destination, or map area.
The exact search area is used to fulfill the current search. General guest analytics and routine application logs omit coordinates or reduce their precision. Limited security records may retain request context where necessary to investigate abuse.
Accounts and contributions
An account is required to add or edit a bathroom, submit a rating or review, report content, save favorites across devices, manage personal preferences, view contribution history, or use other personal features. Account data may include your email, authentication-provider identifier, profile information, preferences, and contributions.
Authenticated contributions are screened and may be quarantined or reviewed to detect abuse, prohibited personal information, duplicate content, and policy violations. Moderation actions are audited, and deleted contributions may be retained in a restricted, soft-deleted state for safety and audit purposes.
Service providers and recipients
We use service providers for hosting and databases, authentication, mapping and location search, Apple app-integrity services, error and crash monitoring, and analytics where enabled. They receive only the data needed to provide those services. We may also disclose data where required by law or necessary to protect users, the public, or BathroomBuddy.
We do not sell your name, email address, account information, or guest integrity data.
Retention and deletion
Guest tokens expire after a short period. Inactive pseudonymous guest integrity and security records are ordinarily deleted after 90 days. A documented fraud investigation, legal hold, or other legal requirement may justify limited longer retention.
Account users may use the account-deletion flow or contact us for deletion and other privacy requests. A guest has no account profile to delete, but guest integrity records remain subject to the retention and administrative erasure process described above.
Your choices and contact
You may continue with manual search instead of granting location permission. You may also manage device permissions, browser storage, and applicable analytics choices through your device or browser settings.
